Fern, a young girl who happens to understand what animals say, adopts a baby pig named ‘Wilbur’.  When Wilbur is about to be sent to the butcher, his animal and insect friends, especially Charlotte,  an extraordinary spider, vow to save him.  Charlotte writes “some pig” in her web and it is the beginning of a glorious campaign to rescue Wilbur.  (For all ages)

Evenings of Improvisation  
November 5 & 6

Looking for a few good, daring,  physically expressive, multi-skilled actors ready to take on the difficult task of creating a tight ensemble of Improvisers.   Learn basic skills, advanced techniques, and some well kept secrets.  Then we’ll put up our own Evenings of Improvisation.   This experience is good for beginners as well as more advanced players.   Ensemble is the key word. 

Charlotte’s Web – All vocal ranges needed SATB
Female Roles:
Charlotte, a spider (alto/2nd Sop): Teen –-Sensitive, smart, mature
Fern Arable (2nd Sop): 11-15– Imaginative, bundle of energy
Martha Arable (alto/2nd Sop) : Adult - Mother to Fern and Avery - sweet and insightful
Edith Zuckerman (2nd Sop): Adult – Practical with a sense of humor
Male Roles:
Wilbur, a Pig (Lyric Bar / 2nd Tenor): Teen –-Curious, Smart, very loving and full of energy
Avery Arable (Tenor / 2nd Sop) : 12 -16 – Older brother to Fern - full of mischief
John Arable (Lyric Bar): Adult – Father to Fern and Avery-loving yet practical
Homer Zuckerman (Lyric Bar) : Adult - Experienced with a sense of humor
Lurvy (good singer): Older Teen –Young Adult –hard working
Templeton, a rat (Lyric Bar): Teen- a scavenger, tough and unhelpful with a capacity to care
Ensemble Roles All vocal ranges needed SATB – good w/ harmonies
Farm Animals: Goose, Gander, Sheep, Lamb, Uncle, Baby Spiders, Owl, Bat
Humans: Reporter, Photographer, Spectators/Townspeople/ Fair goers/ Fair personnel, Judges

Prepare for both:
• 16 bars only of an up-tempo musical theatre song, in the correct key with sheet music or an accompaniment CD. NO karaoke tracks or a cappella. Accompanist provided.
• A memorized 1 to 1 ½ Minute monologue
• An animal impression w/ movement
• Bring current photo, resume & any conflicts. (Adult Travel Stipend Offered – Charlotte’s Web)
