WE'RE ON A MISSION, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Laguna Playhouse's committment to our community is reflected in our mission: Enriching Lives Through Theatre. We're dedicated to fulfilling that mission, but we can't do it alone. The pursuit of excellence and the ability to introduce new audiences to the power of live theatre takes the support of members from the community whose very lives we seek to enrich. Your contribution to The Laguna Playhouse Annual Fund ensures that our mission will not only endure but thrive.
A Leader in New Play Production
The Laguna Playhouse has distinguished itself as one of the region's foremost producers of new works.

An important aspect of our mission is to create original, dynamic theatre as Laguna's contribution to the field.
New commissioned plays are critical to the ongoing vitality of any theatre company, particularly one as prestigious as The Laguna Playhouse. We've made a major committment to commissioning at least one new play each season.
Recent
commissions include last season's The Pursuit of Happiness by Richard Dresser and The Verdi Girls by Bernard Farrell. Our 2007-2008 Seaon includes two more commissions: Brownstone by Catherine Butterfield and Alexandros by Melinda Lopez.
Your contribution to our Annual Fund allows us to continue the noble tradition of innovation and creativity through this play commissioning project.

Theatre for a New Generation offers vivid stage dramas about the challenges faced by teens that are intended to both entertain and stimulate discussion among young people, parents and educators.
TheatreReach is a touring program that brings professional productions into more than 150 schools throughout southern California every year. These plays – seen by thousands of children – are one-hour adaptations of books included in the K-6 literature and history curriculum.
The Laguna Playhouse Conservatory is unique in the region for its approach to theatre education for young people. Taught by working theatre professionals, the Conservatory offers talented adolescents a small-enrollment, high-level program of instruction in acting, theatre production and dramatic literature.
The Laguna Playhouse also offers a variety of theatre classes for children and teens ages six and up.
Contributions to this program in any amount are welcome. You can also sponsor a TheatreReach performance at a school of your choice for $1,000, and receive membership at our Associate Producer’s level.
