Heussenstamm Blues & Jazz Festival
February 10, 2007, 7:00PM

Defining a Generation

The 2007 Blues & Jazz Festival will pay homage to the influences of Jimi Hendrix and Cream on the blues and rock genre and the predominant influence on successive generations of saxophonists, and the reshaping of modern jazz, by John Coltrane.

Drummer Kofi Baker, son of Ginger Baker (Cream) and his quintessential blend of traditional blues, rock and fusion drumming will be joined by guitarist John Heussenstamm and Doug Lunn on bass guitar.

World acclaimed composer, performer, and teacher Steve Hommel will add his considerable mastery of the jazz saxophone to the Coltrane tribute.
